July 18, 1926 - May 28, 2017 Juan Minelli passed peacefully at the age of 90, surrounded by people he loved. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 60 years, Maria Luisa Arellano, his daughter Maria Luisa Jr., his son Juan Ernesto III (aka Marty), granddaughter Brittany, sister Mara and a lot of wonderful friends from all over the world! Juan was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He attended medical school at Baylor University, where he fell in love with the United States. After he completed medical school he called for the love of his life Maria Luisa to join him. They wed in 1957 on Mercer Island in Washington State. In 1965 they made Los Angeles their permanent home. He practiced as an anesthesiologist at Children's Hospital LA. During his retirement he became a successful commercial actor and model, and a member of the Screen Actors Guild. Juan was a true lover of life, and there was nothing he wouldn't do for a friend. He had a big passion for soccer. He loved to cook and eat...especially pizza. He loved music, and jumped on the piano, at every occasion, loved taking his dog Bambina to the dog park and lived for the Santa Monica Farmers Market, where he was a well-known figure. A Mass to honor Juan will be held Friday, June 23rd at 10 am at Corpus Christi Church in Pacific Palisades. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ASPCA/NKLA.

i remember your mom and dad came to a dinner party at your house you were renting in the Santa Monica Canyon w/ Ricardo. It was a glorious night, and your father had made potato gnocchi that were amazing.
Of course I remember the night and your parents being a part of a fine memory.
Much love, Vicki
