October 13, 1951 - December 9, 2016 Michael was born in Pasadena, the first son of Charles and Nancy Stimson. He spent his youth there and attended Polytechnic School where he graduated in 1969. He then went to the University of California at Berkley, graduating in 1973. He studied law at the University of Texas for a year before he moved back to the San Francisco area where he remained for the rest of his life. Twenty seven years ago he married Nancy Norcross and they had one son, Charles Norcross Stimson. As a teenager, two of Mike's hobbies were racing and working on cars. As a result, he established his company, Pacific Performance Motorsports, which was his lifetime employment. He also was involved in sailing and photography which provided much of his leisure enjoyment. He raced his boats on the Bay and attended activities with the Bohemian Club at both the Grove and the City Club. He leaves behind his wife, Nancy, son, Charles, mother, Nancy, brother Henry and his wife Meg, and older sister Mary McNamara and her husband Read. Dying so young and suddenly, he will be greatly missed by many.

I just found out about Michaels passing.
Nancy you have my deepest sympathies.
Michael was a great friend and 'brother' and he will be sorrowfully missed.
I am sorry this lamentation comes to you in such a tardy fashion. We are a little out of the main stream here on the Pacific Rim.
My best to you and Charley, if ever i can assist you in any way please don't hesitate.
Take care
Tommy
