January 7, 1928 - January 4, 2018 Adored and adorable Brooklyn born Vilma passed away with 10 members of her family present. For 63 years she was the precious wife of Irv Fischer who predeceased her, the inspiring and loving mother of Randy (Gene), Laurie, and Bob (Cheryl), the adoring grandmother of Giovanna, Morgan, Darcy and Jack, a loving and loved sister, and a wonderful aunt, cousin and friend to so many. We will remember and be inspired by Vilma's art (which surrounds us), her independence, self-awareness, and strength. It is a huge loss not to have Vilma in our lives. She has been a powerful example of how to live life and how to leave life, all on one's own terms, and we are immensely grateful.
