I first met Mim when she was my sixth-grade teacher at Burnett Elementary School (now Bobbie Smith Elementary). She was an excellent instructor, and I learned a lot from her. I lost track of her for a few years until I was in college and went to church with my boyfriend and guess who was there? Mim and her husband, Bill. Eventually, my boyfriend and I got married and then I became a middle school teacher and then a high school teacher. I very much enjoyed "talking shop" with Mim and bouncing ideas off her. It was fun going to Bible studies and other events at Bill and Mim's house and we had a great time at their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Bill passed on a few years later, and I know that Mim missed him a lot. They were a great couple and although I miss Mim, I'm happy that she and Bill are together in Heaven.

We we're sad to hear about Mim. I have many pleasant memories of her and Bill at First Lutheran. She had a wonderful, active life and certainly is in Heaven.

I have many, many happy and loving memories of time spent with "Aunt Mim" and "Uncle Bill." They were our California family and helped us make the transition from Chicago and our family left behind to Southern California. Our prayers for comfort and peace for her children and grandchildren. I know she will be sorely missed, but also rejoice that we all will be reunited one day in God's kingdom. May the God of all Comfort keep her family in perfect peace. Sending love to you Candy and Dave.
