My deepest and sincerest condolences on the passing of Mrs. Frazier. I was honored to have known her and cared for her. She was such a lovely lady with a lovely soul. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I think of Sally not as a singular but as "Sally and Lowell". They were living in a small trailer in Ames while Lowell was going to Iowa State. This was after his 4 years in the Navy and they were living but not living "large". Lowell worked summers building silos and I intruded into their lives looking for work. I was not yet a junior in HS but needed the money and they agreed. They put up with me sleeping on a sofa and sharing meals between jobs. Next summer the same deal - same trailer, same work. At the end of that summer Lowell and I spent a week together building a silo. Can you tell I kinda liked Lowell. And they both put with this kid in their home eating their food. And times were not so affluent. Sally would later talk about Ames not being a lot of fun.
I finished HS and joined the Navy. The recruiter asked me what I wanted to do and I said "Fire Control" because that is what Lowell did. I went to school in Bainbridge, MD, same as Lowell and would often visit them in New jersey.
The years went by and I finally grew up after marrying Sharon and we managed to spend time with them while we were in El Paso and they were in Albuquerque .
I remember when Sally called and said she had lost Lowell. I was close to them and would often talk to Sally and she would say "you have each other". I knew she never really got over his absence.
They will always be Sally and Lowell to me
