On behalf of all of us at American Alliance we want to express our sympathy to Mike and his family. Mike is such a devoted son and we knew all about his mother and father and how much they meant to him.

coworker with Joe.

Joe shared with me about his mom being an artist. What a wonderful blessing God gave her to express herself to others through an artist's brush and poet's pen.

I met Dar in June 2016 when I went to work at Neuvant House as evening activities asst. We became fast friends, and I continued to see her and the residents at Neuvant up until the last time on July 4th as well as visit with her on the phone. I was planning to see her on Saturday at the hospital but decided to wait until today, Sunday, only to find that it was too late. I always expected her to be here. I will miss her deeply, especially the way she said my name, her laugh, our long conversations. She is my dearest friend in Lawrence as my work as a caregiver is very isolated, and we had the strong bond of friendship. Whether on the phone or visits in person, Dar lit up my life like no other. What a gift she was to me, and she loved her family so very much! Because of Dar, we watched the Jesse Stone series with Tom Selleck, and I wrote a letter to him asking for autographed photos for each of the 10 residents; we were all on local TV! I am happy that I made a difference in her life and the others I care for. God bless you, Dar; I was so blessed to have you in my life.
