Nancy "Sue" Anderson (Falley) passed away peacefully at her home in Lawrence, Kansas at the age of 79 of leukemia. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Sue is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dana, her sons Jerry, Dana Jr. and Justin, and their wives Christi, Sheryl, and Jean.

Sue will live on in the memories of her grandchildren, Lauren, Amy, Aaron, Spencer, Kyle, Richard, Jack and Josh. She and Dana cherished being able to take a special vacation with each of the grandchildren when they turned ten years old. Their adventures took them to Alaska, Baja California, Costa Rica, Galapagos, and all over the Caribbean.

Sue graduated from Topeka High School and William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri, with an Associate's Degree. She was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas, where her family, the Falley's, operated several grocery stores and helped found Highland Park Bank and Trust.

Dana and Sue were fixtures at Kansas University sports events, and the University has a Strength and Conditioning Center and Football Complex bearing the family name. They also have funded endowed professorships at the KU school of Business as well as contributed to the funding of Capitol Federal Hall. Additionally, they have funded the Kansas collection at KU Libraries.

Dana and Sue also were charitably involved with William Woods University, where Sue served on the Board of Trustees, and were major donors to Anderson Arena, and they recently helped with funding new technology at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Sue and Dana loved to travel, visited all seven continents together, and shared many special memories. Her family will remember her bright blue eyes, her joyful laugh, and her love of birdwatching in the backyard.

Dana, Justin and family. Sorry to hear of Sue's passing. Got to know her a little through some LMH activities and found her to be a strong advocate for the hospital and the Lawrence community after moving here from CA. Our thoughts are with both of you and the extended family
