Dorothy Claire Buonocore
On December 21, 2019 the world lost a friend - Dorothy Claire Buonocore.
If you knew her you were her friend. If you didn't know her you were just a friend she hadn't met.
She was born June 1,1926 in Brooklyn and no matter where she lived she was always a Brooklyn girl.
Dorothy traveled extensively through Europe with the Rockland County Catholic Choir and once sang for the Pope.
And at the age of 65 when most people retire she worked for 20 years at the Nyack Library.
She will be remembered for her love, compassion, thoughtfulness, friendship, Irish laughter and her insatiable love of chocolate.
Her love and laughter will live on in her daughters Lenore, Marian (Peter), and Carol (Brant), her brother Thomas (Carol) her nieces and nephews, all her friends and her two cats Duffy and Duncan. Her husband Henry predeceased her.
A Memorial Mass will be held January the18th at Saint Augustine Church 10am, New City, NY
