Eamonn Loughman

Pomona - Eamonn Loughman, the son of Ann and Robert Loughman passed away at the age of 52 in Newburgh, NY. An artist in thought, theory and lifestyle he embraced originality. A graduate of Rockland Community College, Eamonn excelled in the creative arts. As a playwright, he published The Fifth Shepard of St. Florian commemorating the victims of September 11. Photography, videography, storytelling, playing his guitar and most recently painting were a few of his creative outlets. Inciting laughter, regardless of surrounding moods was his exceptional gift. Compassion for our Lord was expressed by his countless hours volunteering at his church and local food pantry. Eamonn's kind heart tired and was called home to entertain the heavens. Predeceased by his mother Ann, Eamonn lives on through his father Robert, his brother Brendan, sister Patricia Wilson and husband Nicholas, nieces Shannon, Samantha, Sabrina, Ava, Rory, nephew Blaise and Monsignor Kenneth Loughman. A funeral service will take place Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY at 10:30.

My sincerest sympathy is extended to all of Eamonn’s family over this great loss. Eamonn lived such a colorful life and he shared his creativity in so many avenues with others. It was remarkable to hear all that he has accomplished in the beautiful homily given by his uncle, Monsignor Loughman, at the funeral service yesterday. I am inspired by all of the stories that were shared. So many great memories will live on with all of us. Thank you for all of the laughter over the years, Eamonn. You are deeply missed by many.

MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND.”
