Joseph T.C. Hart

New Rochelle - Joseph T. C. Hart of New Rochelle passed away on May 21 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx.

Born in Orange, NJ, he was the son of the late Maurice and Anne Campbell Hart. Joe spent much of his childhood in Larchmont, and graduated from Fordham University in 1958 and Fordham Law School in 1961. While an undergraduate at Fordham, he spent his junior year studying in France and during his last year of law school, he was the Comments Editor of the Law Review. Joe fulfilled his duty to serve his country as a member of the Air National Guard.

Joe began his professional career with the firm Dewey Ballentine and in 1965 joined the firm Fulton and Rowe. Joe became a partner with Fulton and Rowe, and in 2016 after its merger with Vittoria Fulton, Joe continued his legal practice. Joe's work focused on corporate, securities, litigation, and regulatory matters.

Although the law was his life, Joe always enjoyed attending holiday and key life event gatherings with his family and close friends. In addition, he loved to ski; in fact he was still skiing each winter until he was 82. And when not skiing, Joe was a fantastic trivia player and a world traveler. He especially enjoyed his trips to County Cork, Ireland, New Foundland, and Nova Scotia where he carefully researched his family history.

Joe is survived by his nieces, Mary Anne Diamond, Pegeen Sheakoski, Susan Carey, Katie Holzman, Maura White, and his nephew, Patrick Hart.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Maurice I. Hart, his sister, Nancy O'Neal, an infant sister, Anne, and his nephew, John Albert Hart.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m Saturday (today) at the John J. Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Rd., Larchmont. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. A private burial service will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetary in West Roxbury, MA.

Donations in memory of Joe may be made to the Feerick Center for Social Justice, Fordham Law School, 150 W. 62nd St., New York, New York 10023
