Lon A. Pelton Garnerville, NY - Lon A. Pelton, age 73, passed away on May 18, 2020. Lon was born January 30, 1947 in Nyack, NY to Lois and Edward Pelton. Lon was raised in New City and graduated from Clarkstown High School in 1965. He was a parishioner of Thiells Methodist Church. Lon retired from Orange & Rockland Utilities, Inc. after 38 years as a payroll clerk. Lon is survived by his twin brother, Lee (Kathy), nephews Ed and Greg, brother Wayne, niece Sondra (Joe), his grandniece Ariel and grandnephew Joey, and many friends and relatives also. Lon was predeceased by his parents. Due to current circumstances, funeral services will be private. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Donations can be made in Lon's name to the Thiells Methodist Church, 102 Rosman Road, Thiells, NY 10984. Arrangements by Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan.

I graduated high school with Lon. I will always remember him as a kind and gentle person. May he rest in peace. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.

This was one of my wife Sondra cool uncles, he has a twin brother as well as another brother my father-in-law. Hard to believe he worked for the power company in NY for almost 40 years! He was always a nice guy and always remembered us on birthdays and holidays with extra-special personalized gifts. RIP Uncle Lonnie.

Lee, so sorry to hear of Lons passing. Lon was one of those constants in HS, it always seemed we were in classes together. I have fond memories of Lon.

Lon and brother Lee were neighbors on Congers Rd and friends of mine since way back in grade school all the way through high school. Sad to hear of his passing, condolences to brother Lee and all the rest of his family.

Lon was a wonderful guy! Always pleasant and friendly. He worked with mu husband Nick at O & R for many years and before he retired with my son. Always a pleasure to deal with. Everyone will miss Lon !!!!
