Marcia DeGregorio
West Harrison - Marcy was born on June 27th, 1945 in the Bronx, to Phil & Gloria Chernoff. She passed away at home on July 11, 2019, after a courageous battle of leukemia. She received her undergraduate degree from New York University and her Masters of Public Administration from Pace University. She was extremely proud of her work with the Westchester County Department of Social Services, first as Director of Adult Protective Services, followed by Director of Child Support.
Marcy is survived by her beloved husband, Nicholas, whom she wed on May 17, 1987. Her devoted sister, Amy Chernoff Elkind (Jim). Her cherished nieces and nephews: Dylan Elkind, Kira Greenfield (Mark), Andrew (Hayley), Baby Elizabeth, Michael, Elizabeth, Eric and Victoria DeGregorio, Alexandra and Laura Beaupre, Ian Locascio, Anna Vangel (James) and Elise Skor. As well as numerous friends and co-workers. She will be greatly missed by all.
A funeral service will be held at Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 1652 Central Park Avenue, Yonkers, N.Y. Sunday, July 14th at 1:30pm. Donations in her memory may be made to either Dickstein Cancer Center or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

We are truly sorry and send our deepest condolences to cousin Nicholas and all Marcy's loved ones. We remember Marcy so fondly from the times we were able to get together. May she have peace in body and soul.

Nick and family, so very sorry to have learned of your loss. Knowing Marcie I know she would have put up a strong battle. I didn't know her well but what memories I have are of a fierce, intelligent and super competent woman. That spirit will be with you always.

I worked with Marcie for many years at the Department of Social Services. I was so saddened to read of her passing. Marcie was a lovely, accomplished and spirited colleague who always brought a smile to my face. I am sure she will be missed, especially by her husband Nick. My sincerest and deepest condolences to Nick and her family.
