Victor B. Czajkowski
Valley Cottage, NY - Victor B Czajkowski passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 10th in Valley Cottage, NY at the age of 87.
Vic is survived by his devoted wife, Carole; his children, Peter (Nancy), Nancy (Chris), Doreen (Paul) and Paul (Michele) ; and brother, Fr. Richard. Vic was the proud and loving Poppie to eleven grandchildren; Paul, Nicole, Courtney, Emma, Thomas, Tyler, Lauren, Justin, Jenna, Nicholas, and Kaley.
Vic was born on June 15, 1932 in the Bronx, NY to Boleslaw and Mary. He graduated from St. John's University with a Baccalaureate Degree of Science in Accounting. He began his career at Union Carbide Corporation in the Accounts Payable Department when he was 18 years old and was a dedicated employee for 43 years. He married the love of his life Carole in August of 1955. Carole and Vic had four beautiful children. His children remember him as a driven, thoughtful and loving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Vic was very active in the community. He dedicated much of his time to various organizations to better the community. He was very active with the Nyack Valley Cottage Little League, member of the Monday Morning Quarterbacks, Treasurer of the New York State PTSA, Board of Elections volunteer, and served on the Nyack school board where he also served as president for many years.
A wake is scheduled for Friday, July 12th at Hannemann Funeral Home in Nyack, with viewing hours from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, July 13th at 10 AM at St Ann's Church in Nyack. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

In early 1960´s I was a mail carrier at Union Ore Co. in New York City. I remember Vic as a very kind person, and as I was getting ready to go in the Air Force, he gave me a lot of fatherly advice. I always remember his kind words, his great smile and sense of humor, my sympathy to his entire family.
