Mrs Zook was a gifted, creative and warm-hearted teacher who ran what she called a "poetry club" after school. Under the guise of "poetry" she introduced us to the dance of life: books by Richard Brautigan, Kurt Vonnegut; taffy-pulling, gourmet dinners, transcendental meditation and threw in a little poetry. She started chemistry classes with us sitting on carpet pieces on the floor (no desks) with a cup of hot chocolate, Russian tea or soup . . we learned to light Bunsen-burners to heat the water, almost without us realizing that she'd already taught us safety lessons and a comfort with heating beakers of water; she made it all seem so easy. She made a difference in my life and I am sure she will be greatly missed. Jan Neville (nee Riley)

I am one of those students who has treasured Rosslyn's guidance and friendship since she first came to Greeley as "Miss Troth." She was a gifted teacher and a valued friend over many decades, and still lives within us all.

Greatly missed by all who loved her.
