Sweet Uncle Doug. Always there for a great joke and a huge laugh. I can just think about it and hear Grandmother, Uncle Doug and Aunt Katie cackle at a joke. Makes me smile. Rest in peace sweet, sweet man. Love you!

My Uncle Doug was a very sweet man. As a young child I spent a lot of time over his house playing with my best friend, my cousin David. I can remember many fun family dinners, where we had pan cakes for dinner! Lots of laughter, lots of good times. My family moved away when I was nine and I only got to see Uncle Doug and his family during occasional summer visits. He was always so kind and loving. Him and my Aunt Nancy came to Fort Myers when my father died six years ago. I hadn't seen him in many many years he hugged me tight and joked with me and my sister like we'd seen each other days before instead of decades. Uncle Doug was my primary male role model as a young child. My own father worked out of the country most of my childhood. I was so proud to tell other kids my Uncle was a bank president like Mr, Drysdel from Beverly Hillbillies lol. I hope your resting peacefully now Uncle Doug. Love, Cathi

I'll sure miss dancing with Dougie at Jerry Green's and hearing him call me "Nancy Sue."

Marianne, You are in my thoughts and prayers.
