Hello Margie and Denise, I don't know if you all remember me or not but I worked at City Hall for 33 years and retired I April,2004. I saw friend that I worked with at City Hall, told me about Mr Ernest. I am sorry that I didn't know sooner, but just wanted to send my prayers for you all. Hope all is ok. I always enjoyed talking to Ernie, and considered Ernie ,Denise and you Margie dear friends. Love and Prayers too you all.

To Ms.Margaret, David and Denise, as well as extended family members.
I am so sorry to learn of Mr Bournes passing and also beg forgiveness for not attending the funeral. I currently live on the Gulf Coast and it is a long trip to Louisville.
Having grown up across the street from the Bourne family, I was very fortunate to have watched this man wend his way from the bus stop to his home nearly every day .
He would speak to all who approached him with a greeting and knew every kid on the street by first and last name.
My favorite part of his homecoming was the piano music which would emanate from the house each evening.
I was also lucky enough to have been a part of his music while singing with him during his playing.
Mr Bud was such a kind and generous person.
He always smiled broadly each time I dropped by over the years and always had a kind word to say about our years of friendship.
He will be greatly missed and all those who knew him can consider themselves lucky to have been graced by his friendship.
Rest In Peace Mr Bourne.

Being confined to the bed can be very uncomfortable ,so Nabob welcomed an occasional neck and back rub. He would fondly say to me " Those professionals ain't got nothing on you". I hope I was able to make a few of his last days a little better. Rest in the arms of JESUS my friend. We will meet again.

The best man I will ever know. So proud to have called my Bestest Buddy! Nabob will forever be in my heart. I'll always remember our times together and know that he is in Heaven watching over the so many people he loves. Denise and David, thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me the relationship I have with him. Love always, Virginia
