My deepest condolences to Dee and to all other members of John Hellmann's extended family, including Billy Hellmann and Dot Wohlleb. I remember John as the eldest son of Mike Hellmann, who held an enviable position as projectionist for the former Crescent Theater--a perennial cynosure for all the children and adults in Crescent Hill. Mike Hellmann's home and an adjoining yard on Claremont Avenue was a gathering place for many of us younger children, including Billy and Charlie; and I had the additional pleasure as a school kid of catching occasional rides to school with Dot on her drive to work. The Hellmann family was one of the most popular in the neighborhood; and we survivors are diminished by the loss of John and others of Mike's family.
Most Sincerely,
Bob Durning, 306 Claremont Avenue 40206

My uncle John. You are such a part of so many great childhood memories. The trips to Tucker lake, the Fountain Ferry Amusement park, the Putt Putt Minature Golf. They were all part of my childhood. Aunt Dee my deepest condolences. Donny, Billy And Johnny, I know you now have a hole in your heart that will never fill. God bless you all.
