Thanks to Lonnie I made it through a lot of rough weekends, due to staff shortage, at Central State, I worked in security and when I needed help to put a patient in seclusion, I could call on Lonnie for assistance, Lonnie would show up and help cheerfully. I enjoy picking him up and bringing him into work form white castle in St. Matthews. He always had a hot cup of coffee waiting for me. I wish I had kept in touch with him after I retired. I want to give all my deepest sympathy to the family and all of his friends, May Justice be served here. Rest in peace my friend Lonnie you deserve it,you sure will in deed be missed, see you someday in the sky.Your co-worker and friend, Bill Basham CO CSH

Zora, You may remember from Magazine Street church and we worked at Four Courts Nursing Home many years ago. I am so sorry for the loss of dear sweet Lonnie. I remember him always by your side walking to church. I was walking in those days too with my two little ones. I've never forgotten you because you were always so kind anf Lonnie was so respectful. Whoever chose this picture captivated his essence it depicts he kind soul that he was. I was stunned by the tragedy and kept trying to follow his arrangements. Unfortunately it came at time that I had to be in Seattle for the military. I never would have missed his home going. My thoughts and prayers are with you and his children; I can tell they adored him. The Bible says that our good works does follow us, well your god works is evident in Lonnie and his good works arec those blessed grandchildren may you comfort one another in the Lord. Love, Daisy Judkins -Jennings
