Susan and Sara and the rest of Marilyn's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I was just made recently aware of her passing.
Marilyn and I became instant friends in 1975 when we were both counselors during that summer of so many changes in our schools. We would both go on to become principals and also stay involved in many similar projects She is the one who talked me in to several of them.
I will always remember her as forward thinking and a student advocate. She was the best as attested by all the recognitions for her accomplishments.
My sympathy to all her family,

So sorry to hear of such a loss! Ms. Hohmann was my ninth grade teacher at Gottschalk. She blessed her students with her insightful teaching methods and her ability to look through the lumps of clay in her classroom, and see the works of art in the making!! The lives of Ms. Hohmann's students were certainly enriched just by being in her class. To her family, take joy in knowing that she truly touched the future, and, made it better. Thank you Ms. Hohmann.

Marilyn will always be a superstar in my book. I so much appreciated her kindness, wisdom, encouragement, and authenticity. May her life continue to remind us all how to do the right thing, reach out to young teachers, fight for what is right . . . and share a good shot of Maker's Mark from time to time. Straight up. I ache for her family, and I celebrate the fact that my path crossed with hers.

Marilyn was the 1st high school principal I ever worked under. What I remember most was that she had high expectations for the teachers as well as the kids! Also, no matter how busy she was or what was going on in the school, she would stop everything to acknowledge accomplishments for the students or the teachers. She took great pride in the extra efforts of all at Fairdale High school. R.I.P. Marilyn!
