Not sure what to say?

I met Sister Ellen in Nashville at a Silent Retreat she was leading. I was immediately attracted to her wisdom,, caring, strength and enthusiasm, both as a Spiritual Director and as a women. I was very fortunate that she agreed to be my Spiritual Director in Nashville. She was so helpful to me in my Spiritual journey and my personal one. I kept in contact with her even after my move to North Carolina. I saw her last in July and through her illness she maintained her caring for me, her interest in doing the right things for the world and her devotion to Jesus. She was so motivating to me, a wonderful gift in my life. I know she was at peace with Him. I will miss her. Leslie Mackowiak

My dearest friend of 50 years, Ellen has gone before us once again as a trail-blazer. She was a Gospel woman who knew the Lord very well. She introduced Jesus to others in in how she lived and cared for others.
May she be at peace in the Lord and may her family and friends realize what a gift she was

Sister May Ellen was such a great asset to the residents of Sacred Heart Home and also to the staff. She would not let anyone die alone even if it was 2 in the morning she would leave her house and sit with them. She was wonderful to me when I was going through a rough time in my life. I am so glad that she was in my life and our residents that knew her are praying for your family. She will be greatly missed. Sandy Roth (activities)
