Donna, Earl and I were shocked to hear of Steve's passing. We found out too late, or we would have been at the funeral home. We enjoyed seeing and playing with Steve up at Wooded View. Often I would ask about the boys. I would have loved to have seen them and shared some of my 5th grade memories with them. I remember when Steve was on the SAS school board and would have loved to have given the teachers more pay but the money wasn't there. He truly cared about us, and I will never forget that.
Earl also has memories of Steve when they were in the Navy. They both were at Naval Ordinance and then later our paths crossed in a soriety up at IUS. I remember going to a formal dance and seeing you guys there.
In closing, Steve, you, and the boys will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Steve will certainly be missed. I hope you will receive this message. I had a sympathy card to send you but I couldn't find an address. Please know that we are truly sorry for your loss. He was one special man, and I'm glad our paths crossed.
May God continue to bless you and hold you in the palm of His hand,
Ann and Earl Whitworth

Donna, you and the boys are in my thoughts and prayers. I was shocked to hear about Steve's passing. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have spent time with him. As long as the Plantation Club, SME and Bellarmine are a part of my memory, you and Steve will always be there in the highlights. May he rest in peace.

I met Steve in high school at St. X but my best memories with him were our years at Bellarmine. During that time we worked the Carl Casper Car Show for many years. Does anyone remember Steve dressed as "Chicken Man"? Lots of great memories. Good friend, great guy. Miss you Steve.
