Alexander "Sasha" Kozlov
CLINTON - Alexander "Sasha" Kozlov, died unexpectedly while traveling on vacation in London, England on Thursday, April 26, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife and life partner Olga Opritova; two sons, Slava Opritov & wife Olga of Russia; and Alexey Ivanov & wife Lena of Kazakhstan; 4 granddaughters, Taisa, Zoe, Sofia, and Alisa. He leaves his father, Victor Kozlov; and his sister, Tanya Efremova, both of Russia; nieces, cousins, colleagues, and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his mother, Anna Kozlova.
Alex was born in Barnaul, Siberia, Russia and was a graduate of the Applied Mathematics Program at Novosibirsk University. Alex worked for Irkutsk Geophysics for many years before immigrating to the United States and accepting a position as a Senior Software Architect for the Space Science Lab at UMass Lowell. He was a passionate fan of the Boston Bruins, and an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hiking, fishing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing throughout New England.
KOZLOV - Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 3 until 5PM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. Burial will be held privately. Online condolences may be placed at www.philbincomeaufh.com.
