Anna Sophia Aslanian
of Lowell
LOWELL - Anna Sophia Aslanian, 16, entered into heaven on October 30th, due to an unexpected accident.
Anna was born October 17, 2002, in Lowell to Joshua and Itea (Diamantopoulos) Aslanian. Anna was the first born of four children and being the only girl, was the light of their lives. She loved being a big sister to her three little brothers.
Anna was a sophomore at Lowell High School and loved sports. She had been a member of the Junior Varsity field hockey team and crew team but loved her dance class and shows.
Anna looked forward to going with her Papou, Nick, to D.J parties and was his " little assistant" because she was very good at selecting songs to be played and loved being with her Papou.
Anna loved her years at Sunday School with Fr. Ernest Coulouris and his wife, Presbytera Helen whom became part of her family.
To all Anna's friends, please don't ever forget her.
Anna, We Love You, you will always be our Little Girl, Our Hearts are Broken Forever.
Anna leaves behind her loving parents, Joshua and Itea, three younger brothers, Luke age 13, and twins Michael and Patrick age 10, to whom she leaves all her pets in their care. She leaves behind her grandparents, her Papou and Yia Yia, Nicholas and Connie Dimantopoulos whom she loved to visit for her sleepovers at their home; she leaves behind her uncle David Aslanian or as she lovingly called him, Üpa Dooda", her uncle Greg Aslanian and his wife Janet, her uncle and godfather, Christian Diamantopoulos; her godmother, Jen Tighe; and many cousins, great aunts and great uncles.
Anna was the granddaughter of the late George and Rita Aslanian whom she always wished she had met but they passed at an early age.
ASLANIAN - A funeral service will be held for Anna at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 62 Lewis St., in Lowell at 10:00am, on Tuesday, November 6th. There will be no visitations prior to service. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA. 01851. Funeral arrangements under the direction of directors, Louis M. Fazio III, Scott Laurin M. Richard Laurin. For condolences or directions, please go to www.laurinfuneralhome.com.

Itea,
My deepest condolences to your family, Anna was always so bright and cheery when she would come into the shelter, always so happy to see all the new pets and even happier when she was able to adopt one.
Being the parent of a teenager myself, my heart just breaks for you; there are no right words to say as a form of complete comfort, just know Lowell Humane is thinking of you guys during this time of utter despair. ♥

I am truly sorry for your loss. Anna was beautiful, often silly, and a talented young lady. She was a pleasure to have as a student and from what I have heard a wonderful big sister. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
