Janet was a colleague in Okemos schools -- a caring person, and a strong advocate for students who did not always have a voice. When she and Bob (Bill) got married we were delighted to see how they blended their families and how they were able to do some meaningful travel together. Our condolences to all who will miss her smile and warmth.

We met Janet when she and Bill attended a recent meeting of the Network for Justice at St John/ St Thomas parish. We liked her immediately. We are deeply saddened by her leaving us so suddenly. Our heartfelt sympathies to Bill, their families and friends. Vic and Elaine Weipert

Janet was a kind, thoughtful and lovely woman who cared deeply about the children she worked with. She was very helpful to me when I joined the Okemos schools and she was very proud of her family. She will be missed by many.

It was my privilege to have worked closely with Janet for years. She was a gentle, kind person and a strong advocate for others, as well as a proud and devoted grandmother, mother, wife and friend. I will remember with fondness the last time I saw her, last spring, attending a dance recital at a local venue in support of one of the young members of her extended family. She looked very happy and at peace with life. Goodbye, Janet. I'll always remember you and will miss running into you around town.
