Llewellyn, it has been a joy to have known you for almost 50 years and for our families to have been such good friends and good neighbors for so long. You and my mom traded flowers, mint, peaches, pecans and anything else growing in your gardens that the other one didn't have. You kept an eye on each other's pets and houses during vacations and together you looked out for the neighborhood and made it a better place to live. You shared the latest news of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After Mom passed away it was a comfort for my sisters and me to visit you, because by keeping close to you we were able to feel that much closer to her. Your humility and modesty have always made it a challenge to thank you and not let you shake it off, but I think I can get away with it now: Thank you, Llewellyn, for living out the example of everything a Good Neighbor can be. Welcome to your new Neighborhood.
