Joe Conboy was my first boss in the Army - at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. I truly loved this incredible man. We had a great legal office, and he was the primary reason. I have so many great stories about him, and our times together, starting on my first day when he told me it was tradition for the "newbie" Captain to go outside at 5:00 when the trumpets sounded and salute the flag. . .and so, it all began. I could go on and on about the laughter and shenanigans that took place during my time serving with him. He was a great boss, a great leader, and a great man! I stayed in the Army for a full career because of him,and I tried to run my legal offices in the same manner that he did. The Army was a much better organization because of him, and this earth was a better place because this wonderful man lived - and made a difference! Liz and I send our love to Taine and his girls/family, and thank you all for letting us share this beloved man with you, if only for a short while.

I just learned of the passing of Colonel Joe Conboy. He was my boss when I was in the U.S. Army JAG corps and stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He absolutely was one of the finest people I have had the great pleasure of knowing in my life, and he has a wonderful family. I have thought about him often over the years.
