Tony Mims Obituary

Lubbock- 53, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018. Tony was born to Curtis and Evelyn Mims on October 12, 1964 in Lubbock, TX. Tony graduated from Estacado High School in 1983. Tony immediately joined the United States Marines. He was employed at The Paint Shop for years. Tony leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Angela Young; one son, Tony Mims, III; two uncles, Billie Porter and Ozell Porter; two aunts, Gladys Porter and Sammie Toney; two nephews; one niece, a host of other relatives, and friends. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. James Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery, Slaton, TX under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Griffin Mortuary.
