Mr. Wangrud was one of my most favorite teachers at Eastland Jr. High. I was in the group that he hosted to Washington DC. What a wonderful trip!! I remember connecting with Ron later when we all were members at Moravian Hills Golf Club. My husband and I ran into him at a driving range one day when my husband was trying to help me with my game..... Ron took over and gave me a few tips that really helped. So sorry for your loss Debra. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Wangrud, who later became Ron to me was one of my all time favorite teachers at Eastland Jr. High and then Brablec. I never cared for History or Government, but he made it fun and that in itself was great for me. Yes, I was a favorite student of his and I loved that guy. May his family know that there are so many of us who respected and loved him as a person and a teacher. RIP sir, and thank you for everything.
