Rest in Paradise Ricky!
July 23, 2018
Memories of my grandfather bring pleasing moments. I can see his shoulders shaking when he laughed. I can hear him saying. YOU KNOW WHAT, YOU KNOW WHAT . He always said this, when his tongue was trying to catch up with his brain. My grandfather had the mind of a genius. Our family learned so much from him.

Family, when the emptiness without him gets hard, just close your eyes, take a deep breath and whisper a prayer. Ask God to comfort you, and surround you with his love, while he leads you to a place of healing. It is okay to cry, crying is the way your
eyes display your pain, when your mouth can't explain how broken your heart is.

I woke up with you on my mind like I do every morning since you passed. I miss my mother calling me with the "let me tell you about my brother" calls. She really miss you, she tries to act like she's ok but I know her. she misses her brother We all miss you Uncle Ricky. You mean a lot to ALL OF US especially those of us who didn't have our fathers. I have so many memories mostly funny ones because you know you was a mess but most importantly I remember how much you loved your family. I am so happy my son got a chance to know you and Auntie DeeDee blessings. Rest old man it's time to rest but make sure to watch over your two sisters they're the only ones we have left.
Thank you for all that you have taught me and all that I've learned from you just being you. You said bye was forever so say see you later... You thought I forgot so I'll see you later Uncle Ricky

To the family of Fredrick Dean Stroud, a.k.a., Ricky. May the sweet memories, and laughter you enjoyed with Ricky bring you comfort, closure and peace. Lean and depend on Jesus, he will see you through. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Ricky passed through this world but once, any good therefore he did, any kindness he showed to anyone, he did it while he lived, he shall not pass this way again.
His smile is irreplaceable.
His intellect remarkable. In his journey through life's trials,
he stumbled, like you, and like me
He fell
He got up.
He practiced his faith through prayer using the biblical chapter of ( ACTS )as his daily guide.
A -adoration for God
C-confession of his sins
T-thanksgiving for grace & mercy
S-supplications.
He stood tall.
He shined.
He loved.
He lived his life, he fought a good fight. He left us unforgettably memories.
