What a shock, I had just talked with Charlie 3 days before his passing. I played a lot of golf with Charlie & he always kept us laughing! He will be sorely missed by his many friends & family. Dave Miller

Ellen, Nicole and all. Your loss is a big one. Charlie was a very close, best friend for nearly half of my life. His sense of humor was contagious. He will be greatly missed.

Ellen, We are deeply sadden to hear of Charlies passing. As you know we have a lot of good time in Boothbay Harbor with you and Charlie especially during the Foggy Bottom break outs and every time we came to visit. Charlie will be greatly missed by all that knew him and there will be a huge void in the HARBAH without him. He was the mayor of Tugboat. Our sincerest condolences to you.

Dear Ellen, family and friends
It is with sadness to lose Charlie. He was taken from all of us way too soon. I'm not sure who wrote his loving tribute, but it hit every note of Charlie's life. We cannot think of anything more to add to his legacy. He was one in a million. Good bye Mayor of Boothbay.
Sending our love and support.

Dearest Ellen,

Words do not express the sadness felt, by all, when hearing of Charlie's passing.

He left behind a life legacy that will live on through you and his family. And, all heartfelt memories of him will have their special place in our hearts, forever.

May you find peace knowing that you are surrounded by much love.

God Bless!

Ellen,
Our deepest sympathies. Our last 2 hours in BBH at the end of last summer were spent with Charlie when he invited us for a boat ride. Beautiful September day, great conversation and a wonderful time. His positive attitude and generosity was and always will be an inspiration. So glad we ended the season with him and will never forget that day.

Ellen, my condolences on Charlie's passing. I always enjoyed seeing Charlie and sharing a laugh or two with him. He was a true ambassador of what is good in life.
