I am so sorry to learn just today of Ed's passing from my nephew, Steve Leary. Through Steve, I had the great joy of connecting with Ed, my first cousin, last year and had a couple of great phone conversations with him. Steve and his brother Dean and I were so very much looking forward to visiting Ed this spring. My deepest condolences to all.

Ed always described himself as "fit as a fiddle"...warm,friendly,full of laughs and humor; He was respected by all.I loved to hear his stories of boyhood years...We shed a few tears together talking about the warmth of great relationships. My last visit with Ed was blessed with a prayer and his sincere heartfelt embrace.

Uncle Ed you will be missed so much. He had an endless amount of stories of his adventures thru his life which were so interesting to listen to. Thinking of all of you in this sad time.

I will miss Ed's positive and loving way. I first met Ed when I was a teenager when he stated selling as regular at Montsweag Flea Market, with my Mother Norma. He stopped coming for a while after his wife passed away, and came back to the market a couple years again after my mother had passed away. He was still the loving man he was years before and spoke of "Mama" (his wife) very often. I send my love and sympathy to his family, and I am sure he is happy to be with his wife again. I hope that brings comfort to you all, I will keep you all in my Prayers.

Uncle Ed was a born storyteller. We could listen to him all day long. A special man and gentle soul. We will miss him - Pam & Larry Bates
