I started my teaching career in 1965 in Greenwood Lake. I so enjoyed working with Ray Cole as Superintendent. He was one of the good guys. Ray was a great mentor to me as a new teacher. My sincerest condolences to the family.

To the family of Mr.Cole. I am deeply sorry for your loss. He was my principal at Greenwood Lake elementary school. He was a wonderful man who always had a warm smile and something to say. One of my favorite moments and memory of him was when we ran into each other one night at Mt. Peter ski center. He never knew I was a member of the Jr. ski patrol. After that night he always had something to say about skiing to me. Again condolences to his family. He will always be someone I looked up to in my younger years!

Some people who have touched your life and never forgotten , Mr. Cole was one of them.

I can still remember being in his office my first day of school when we moved to the Lake.

Deepest sympathy to the Cole family.

Mr. Cole was my principal for all my formative school years, K-8. He was kind, firm, friendly and fair. Good memories! Mrs. Cole was my PE teacher for most of that time as well, and she was loved by so many of us! She played the organ at my wedding in 1983, and I still have the tole painted plate she made as a wedding gift. Please give her a hug and my sympathies.
