My sincere condolences to the Veilleux family. We were neighbors growing up in Chelsea and recently had the pleasure of seeing him and Bobbie at Maine Vets Home where my father also resides... RIP Bob V., you were a kind an gentle soul.

I thought Bob was always a special person when I worked at UMA. His hearty laugh will be missed.

I always enjoyed our conversations on campus at UMA over the years you were here. It was an honor to know you Bobbie. My heart goes out to you and your family. Rest in Peace.

My deepest sympathies to Bobbie and all of Bob's family. I had the honor of working with Bob at UMA. A few of us would gather during lunch and watch the noon news, which spotlighted Mr. Food. Bob would always make us laugh with his spot-on impression of Mr. Food's trademark, Ooo, it's so good! I also remember that Bob was very talented at woodworking and was very proud of the beautiful canoes he would build with his son. He spoke of his wife, Bobbie, and all of his family---his tremendous love for them was evident. Thank you, Gunny, for your USMC service, and your time at UMA. I wish all of your family and friends healing and comfort. And I wish you peace. Semper Fi.

I'm so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Although I knew him best from our time at UMA, he and my father (also a Marine) shared service stories and talks about other Marines that they knew and loved. My father passed last year, so now he, Bob, and Fred Miner can share more stories about their adventures! My deepest condolences to Bob's family. He was a wonderful man.

Semper Fi and God speed Marine. Bob was one of the Marines who made me feel welcome as a 17 year old kid who just joined the 64th Rifle Co. in November 1961. I joined the Regulars after graduation in June 62 and retired in 1982. Thankful for the advice and lessons learned from Bob.

One of the very best, a true Marine to the end. May God rest his soul.
Pax Christi to all of us who mourn his passing.

Bobbie, Jim and Lynn,
I am so saddened to hear of Bob's passing - he was like a second father growing up. My heart goes out to you all - truly a sad moment in time.
