We'll miss you, Dr. Painter. We knew him as an Anglican organist for several years at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Waterville and at St. Pauls's Anglican Church in Portland, and enjoyed our times at coffee after church. Especially his sense of humor! God bless you, Dr. Painter.

Doc Painter was "old School", a family friend, neighbor and caretaker to our family for many years. I'll always remember the Saturday he drove to my house in Mount Vernon, during a blizzard when I had a bout with Pneumonia. RIP Doc and thanks for your service to the community

My sympathy to Dr. Painter's family. He was a kind and caring physician. I knew his mom Patty Painter from WOH Ladies Auxiliary. I still have soaps that were hand painted by her.

So sorry for your loss, I had the pleasure of working with Dr Painter many years ago at WOH. He was a fun loving person and a compassionate doctor.

Doc, amateur radio call KA1BLL, was the last of the original group of four hams who met in W1WCI's kitchen for donuts and coffee every Wednesday morning. He continued that connection (now at Dave's Diner in Gardiner)until just recently, a span of nearly 30 years. RIP, Doc. We'll miss you.

We have lost one of the best human beings to walk this earth. I've been blessed to have known Doc most of my life. He was the best! RIP Doc

Mickey Painter was a great guy. He was a patient doctor and good listener. We often saw him at Friendly's in later years and often asked him to join us.
The hydrangea tree at his office beautifies Winthrop annually, and I will think of him every time I go by the Mercantile.
My sincere condolences to his family. He will be missed and remembered for a long time.

Dr. Painter was our family doctor for many years, starting when he offered to make a house call when our then-doctor was "Unavailable". He cared about his patients. He will be missed by all and especially his neighbors here "on the hill".
