Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years.
May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

My father delivered groceries to the Kennedy family in Worcester. I knew Cathy my entire life as my mother's family was intimately tied to Higgins Beach. She was always one of the people I would visit when I returned to Maine. Rest in peace, Cathy. You earned it.

After being mainstreamed into Tantasqua Regional Junior High I had Miss Kennedy as a home economics teacher. Despite my physical disability she found ways that I could participate in her class like, vacuuming and doing the dishes. She would often take me out to dinner and a show like The Nutcracker! As a teenage boy I never thought I would enjoy The Nutcracker as much as I did.

I spent many summers going up to her cottage with my family and playing in the sand. We would often walk as she would push me in my manual wheelchair on the shore line looking for sand dollars and various seashells. At first this started as a weekend visit and then she asked me if I would like to spend the week with her. I was very excited about the opportunity but thought to myself here is a single lady willing to do quite a bit of work so I could enjoy the beach for a whole week. Never once complained about the amount of work that she had to do for me. Her heart was bigger than she was and for that I thank her!

I lost a very dear friend but heaven definitely gained an Angel!
