Jim knew how to be happy. He was a blessing to all who knew him. It is with joy we celebrate Jim's life...many will come from North Parish Church in Sanford to honor him today. He made a difference in many lives and he brought a smile to many faces. The world is better for the life he lived. Thanks be to God for this kind, joyful and loving man.

Jim was an important person in our lives, especially in the period when your mother was her vibrant self. Together with the Sweets and Toppings we spent many happy hours dancing and playing cards. We were also involved with Jim through Nasson College, at church and on the Y board. Throughout he was a happy and giving person. Most recently our contacts were through phone calls. Unfortunately age has caught up with us and we will have to miss his funeral service. Our great sympathy goes out to you, his family, as this very special man leaves you behind. I first met Jim in 1957, when I was sitting in my English class and my guidance counselor called me out of class to visit with this college admissions officer from the State of Maine. That introduction started a wonderful relationship for 61 years.

Jim was a most unique individual. His skills as a recruiter for Nasson College or a fund raiser for the YMCA were remarkable, not to mention his detailed understanding and success with the stock market. His friendship were very sincere and everlasting. Great sense of humor, always left you with a joke to remember. Whenever I was in town, he always took the time for visit or lunch.

He lived a good, long life. If it were not for him giving me, a later bloomer out of high school, a chance at a college education, I would not be the person I am today.

Thank you Jim for being the person you were. The world will miss you.

Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years.
May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

I am so spotty to hear of your dads passing. I knew Jim very well when he lived at OV in Falmouth. He was a very kind and gentle man and always had a joke to tell. He is now with family and friends that have waited to be reunited with him. Sincerely Arlene A.

My sincere sympathy in the loss of your father. He was a great man and would talk for hours with my husband, Mike LeBrun, who passed away 10 years ago. Jim would come into the insurance office where I worked and would always say how much he enjoyed Mike. I was so appreciative when Jim came to the funeral home. May you RIP Jim and now you and Mike can talk once again. Jan LeBrun Blaisdell

I am truly sorry to learn of the death of Jim. We worked together in Rotary in our "younger" days and it was always a pleasant experience to be around him. A true gentleman. My condolences to his family.
