Pops, I miss you. You made me laugh with your perceived odd things in life....a trucking company that nearly landed us in a ditch....'A. Duie Pyle' trucks damn near sent you off the road. The small things you couldn't do like sewing a sail...all pins on the floor...I miss you more than you will, or heck, maybe you will know. I have visited you a few times and the stone is just cold. I know you are in a better place and always helping others. That's what you did! Thank you for your patience with me. I wasn't the best daughter, but my passions were true and now I have a pony that you would love!! Miss you Pops. I think of you more than I care to admit...love and miss you so much!

I was a resident in general surgery when Dr. Olsen and Dr. Osterholm were at Hahnemann. Dr. Olsen recommended I interview at Yale for a position of resident in neurosurgery. Dr. Osterholm was planning to begin a residency program at Hahnemann in neurosurgery. I asked if I should be his first resident. He said that I should go to Yale. I did so. I had a fine career in neurosurgery in Silicon Valley, Santa Clara County. My interaction with Dr. Osterholm was key to my career. I shall always be grateful to him.

I happened to be Dr Osterholm,s fIrst Resident joining his training program in 1975 at Jefferson after he moved from Hahneman in 1974,and since i had not seen him lately, his photo shown here took me back to his youthful years of mid seventies. What a dynamic personality he was, a skillful surgeon,an Inquisitive researcher, a stern but extremely fair Administrator, a Kind teacher, in fact was a holder of many attributes, rarely GOD Produces men like Dr Osterholm. May GOD rest him in Peace and Grant strength to his family to bear the loss.
