So sorry to learn of Alan's passing.
We feel privileged to have known him and are forever grateful for the times spent with him and his family, in our early days in Wellington.
Alan was always helpful and encouraging to his Railway colleagues. We will miss his friendly disposition, his subtle sense of humour and him just being Alan.
A gentleman in every sense of the word.
RIP

Very much loved and respected father & father-in-law to Grant & Heather-Kate; loved & devoted granddad of Michael & Alan Taylor (Palmerston North), Simon, Stephanie, & Lauren Gadd (Auckland, Guernsey U.K., & Dunedin); & very special and much valued ‘other granddad’ to Shana Solomon (Foxton) and Gia & Percy Tran (Melbourne & Palmerston North). We will miss spending time with you. There will be such a big loving gap where your smiling face or cheeky grimace used to be. We so much admired your genuine and caring way with people, your devotion to all your grandchildren, your sense of humour and mischief and your generous and loving heart. We will truly treasure all the special memories we have of you. Rest in peace with your Lord, and in the arms of your beloved sweetheart, Marie.
