Mrs. Wilging popped into my head tonight as I was speaking to my boyfriend about the sweet woman who lived across the street from me as a girl. A piece of my heart broke to find out she has passed away.

I was just reminiscing about my sweet neighbor that I grew up seeing across the street as a young child, to an adolescent, and up until I was 17 and had to move away from the neighborhood/house I was born into. I grew up seeing Anna across the street every single day. She was a kind, beautiful person. I still remember seeing her take pristine care of her lawn and her amazing cookies she made and gave to my mother on the holidays.

I only heard a small amount of her story, but it amazes me that a woman who made it to 93 years old and was a survivor of the Holocaust was such an amazing woman and still comes to my memory (although I haven't seen her since 2012). God bless her, her family, and friends. Rest in peace, Anna. It was a pleasure to have met you.
