Shirley D. (Amick) Fulton
Mansfield - Shirley D. (Amick) Fulton, 82, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.
Shirley was born on August 8, 1935, in Spencer, IA, to Harold D. and Marie (Harrison) Amick. She was a hard worker, and had many occupations in her life. In high school she was a ticket taker in a theater. She also worked as a dog groomer, cleaned houses and did ironing for others, and waitressed in bars and restaurants. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching and embroidery. Shirley entered her work in the Richland County fair and Bellville Street Fair where she was a helper in the needlework department.
She is survived by three children, Martin Ray Brenning and Cynthia Ann Behrendesen both of Mansfield, and David Rex Fulton of LA; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Law of Marcus, IA and Joann Queen of Oroville, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilburn R. Fulton in 1988; two daughters, Susan Marie Cody in 2016 and Rebecca Lynn Manyen in 2018
Calling hours will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. Memorial services will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
