Roberta J. Riley
Mansfield - Roberta J. Riley passed away Thursday afternoon, October 3, 2019, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital at the age of 80. She was born July 30, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Eugene and Roberta (Griffin) Maher.
On June 13, 1959, she married the love of her life, Charles Riley. Being a wonderful wife and mother was her utmost priority and she was a member of both Brinkerhoff and John Simpson schools PTO. Roberta was an avid supporter of the Mansfield Tygers All Sports Booster Club.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Chuck Riley; two sons, Shawn Riley of Columbus and Shane (Pauline) Riley of Mansfield; and brother, Chris Maher of Cleveland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Maher and sister, Pennie Riha.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mansfield Tyger Booster Club or the American Cancer Society.
