Theresa Ruth Zirkel Wade Ernsberger

Theresa (Aunt Daisy) passed away on November 18, 2017 at the DeBary Manor in DeBary, Florida. She was 95 years old, born on Feb. 19, 1922 on farm off Old St. Rt. 13, Bellville, Ohio, to Valentine and Rosalie Hirst Zirkel. She was the 7th child of 8. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Wilbur Wade her 1st husband and Clare Ernsberger 2nd husband,and by all of her brothers and sisters. Valentine Jr., William, Christine Hardin, Elizabeth Ball, Anne Shaffer, Helen Clark, and Mabel Welch. She attended Chestnut Chapel a one room school house near the farm and she graduated from Mansfield Senior High in 1939, then attended Mansfield Beauty College. She worked at the Shelby Depot as a supervisor during the WWII. In 1949 after marrying Wilbur, she opened and operated the Wade Beauty Shop in Bellville, Ohio until 1960 when she sold it. She and Wilbur moved to Port Richey, Florida and maintained their fishing cabin in Canada. After Wilbur death she sold the cabin. Later she married Clare Ernsberger . After Clare's death she moved to Leesburg Fl. Living there till she went to live with her niece Ellen Whittaker, her caregiver, in Deltona FL. in 2008. In 2012 she moved to the DeBary Manor. Aunt Daisy had 17 nieces and nephews, 36 grand nieces and nephew and 42 great grand nieces and nephews. She was everyone's favorite aunt. She was their listening post, advice giver, friend and second mother. Aunt Daisy was self- sufficient, loved growing flowers , said what she thought and showed what it was to be a woman. The best role model you could have for the modern woman. A memorial service will be held at a future date in May in Mansfield, Ohio.
