Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4
May the Lord, the source of all consolation, be a comfort to the family in the loss of my great aunt.

With Sympathy and Prayers.

What a joy it was to get to know Ione over the past year. I always enjoyed my visits with her and she was always glad to see me and eager to talk about anything. I heard many stories about her time running the Derby bar, but she mostly talked about her family. It was clear that she loved her family very much and she never stopped being a mother and grandmother. I also got to experience her feistiness and wonderful sense of humor. Whether we played tic-tac-toe or looked at photographs or sang old, familiar songs together, we always had a good time. Ione was genuine, she was kind, and she became a good friend and someone I looked forward to spending time with during my visits. I will miss her very much. I have made a donation in her memory to Marshfield Area Purple Angels to expand support services and programs for those with dementia, and their families and caregivers.
