I trained with John Harrington when I attended UW Marshfield in the early 80s. Every morning we would run through Wildwood (?) Park, and we ran several road races together including Al's run in Milwaukee and the Crazy Legs run in Madison. He was a friend and energetic coach and teacher and positive influence I will always remember.

I'm very sorry to hear of the news regarding John's passing. John was THE best coach I have ever played for! His enthusiasm of the game and love for his players was unquestionable! Thank you John!

We are thinking of you all during this difficult time. I got to know John when we attended Scott and Alissa's wedding in Guatemala a few years ago. He was such a good sport about all the activities and put up with silliness (like the bunny hat his team chose on the scavenger hunt). He wore that hat for the entire luncheon afterward! It was wonderful to read about his community activities & leadership in the realm of fitness. He has left a wonderful legacy.

I am very saddened to learn of the loss of John and have good thoughts and memories of him. John, rest in peace.
