Joan F. Quirk, of Springfield, passed away June 4, 2021. Born on February 23, 1934, and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Frank and Cornelia Urbanski. She worked her entire career at Springfield Probate Court as a secretary. She resided in Palmetto, Florida for 23 years with her husband, Mike, until she moved back to Springfield, MA, to spend her last 8 months creating cherished memories and enjoying quality time with family. Joan was a free spirit and a beautiful soul. Greeting everyone with her beaming smile, she was loved immediately by all she interacted with. She left everyone she knew with an abundance of funny stories and wonderful memories. She will always be remembered for her sweet and caring demeanor, having touched the lives of so many people. Joan was able to live a great life surrounded by family who loved her dearly. She has joined her predeceased husband Mike Quirk, her son Brian Quirk, her brother Frankie Urbanski, and her sister-in-law Verna Urbanski. She leaves behind her daughters Debra Quirk and her partner Ken Bregoli, Cindy Lassotovitch and her husband Eric, her daughter-in-law Mary Quirk; her grandchildren, Serena Birch; Danny, Patrick, and Kateri Quirk; River, Sophia and her partner Kevin, and Michael Lassotovitch; Alex and Eric Hiller and their partners Megan Christianson and Olivia King. Please join us on Saturday, June 12, at 11:00 AM for Joan’s Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church, 221 Plumtree Rd., Springfield, MA. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private.
