Mafalda Carra, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on December 4, 2019, a week shy of her 102nd birthday, at the Jewish Nursing Home with her caring family by her side. A celebration of Muffy’s life will begin with visiting hours on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 5 – 8 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation on 220 N. Main Street in East Longmeadow. It will continue on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 8:45 AM at the funeral home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Springfield, MA followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1905 and/or Shriners Hospital, 516 Carew Street Springfield, MA 01104.
