I can only feel blessed and my life all the richer because of you, Mrs. T. And so lucky to have been the first wave of your 5th grade students, the have been in your first big production; Babes in Toyland and to have been part of the original 1st year of Music Campers which became the West Side Choristers.
Thank you, Mrs. T. for being the first mentor in my life, for believing in me, and giving me the courage to believe in myself. One who encouraged and gave me so many opportunities to sing and perform. You even directed me towards my College choice. (I'll never forget, even, the happy day you came to our house to inspect and play my first piano!) You gave such a huge part of the happiness and magic to my formative years and how bereft indeed would those years have been without you. You were our Disney, Louis B. Mayer, and Flo Ziegfeld rolled in one creating all those shows and reviews for us to perform in; bringing that music to the Golden Age homes, country clubs, local 22TV spots of the 60's and so many other venues.
Such gratitude and love to you then, now, and for the rest of my days.Still I sing and remember the first song you taught us.In Dublin's fair city, where girls are so pretty, I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone.

A gift of song is a gift of love... here comes my gift of love to you. As the years pass, my appreciation for all the music Mrs. Thomson shared and taught so vivaciously continues to deepen. And I am so very grateful for all those opportunities just to sing. (And SPARKLE!) Mrs. T inspired a lifelong love of Christmas music, classic musicalsmedleys! And even now, patriotic songs I learned from her can stir me deeply. What a gift. I'm also grateful to have had the chance to visit her a couple of years ago, to say goodbye and thank you. Thank you, Mrs. Thomson.
