Barely a day goes by I don´t think of my friend; the other `M´ of `M&M´. It seems most everything I do is a result of our friendship, i.e. making my daily morning tea she introduced to me; my natural hair and skin care; and road trips that started while in high school. Every time I hear the group Sly & the Family Stone I think of our unauthorized male dressing room entrance to their UMass concert while we were in high school. Our escapades while in the German culture included discos, trains, restaurants, and shops encouraged my desire for adventure. Marie inspired the development of my character that I am today. Marie, I miss you my Friend. Our friendship of 47 years has endured

Marie was such a gentle soul. I met Marie through Marie D. and Marie always welcomed me into her home with open arms and made me feel like I was family from the first time we met. She was one of the most caring people I have known. Marie I will truly miss your spirit. How lucky I am to have had you as my friend! Rest now Angel!

The journey with my friend has been a long one...starting with tenth-grade choir when she turned around to see, as she put it, "who is this child screaming in my ear." We became sole mates and continued to be for the next 47 years. Marie you were always there for me, no matter where we were in the world. Your gentleness, kindness, consideration, generosity, and lovingness were unsurpassed by anyone I have ever known. God chose to bring his Angel home where your gentle spirit is truly loved and appreciated. Thank you for sharing your life with me and for all your love. I will miss you dearly.
