I'm sorry to hear of Maxie's passing. His was a name I heard quite often from my mom (Alfreda Salamon Monat) growing up in South Hadley, and I remember meeting him from time to time on the streets of Holyoke when we went shopping. He always had a smile on his face and seemed genuinely glad to see us. I last saw him a few years ago at my Aunt Edwina's calling hours. My condolences to all of Maxie's family.

To Maxie's family and friends,
I've only known Maxie for about 20 years but in those years, I have come to know a gentle and wonderful man. And always a good dresser, even though Stasia would tell him to get rid of the old suit and wear some of the new stuff she bought him. (I don't think he ever did). And I am truly going to miss his hugs and his smiles.
So very sorry for your loss.
