Sgt. Whitehead took me under his wing when I was first promoted. He taught me how to be a leader not a boss. I shall never forget his words and his teachings. Always a kind word and a smile when he greeted you.
Rest In Peace ... you left your world a better place and you touched all us Rookies when we were out there.

We were so sorry to hear of Richard's passing. He was a good man and much appreciated on the job. He will be sadly missed at Dunkin Donuts. Please accept our condolences.

On a cold night, a "walking man" knew Sgt. Whitehead would be by a few times. His car provided warmth as did he. Many a rookie was grateful for that and his advice. I was one.

Dick Whitehead was a good, kind'decent, honest man who always had a smile on his face and a heart of gold.
Now he will be arguing his outspoken, differing opinions about police work with Capt. Rooke. in heaven.
Dick, tell Sgt. Loudon I said hello.
Sail on sailor.
Rocket.
